Smelling Fresh & Clean

The sun and wind was out in full force today which meant drying laundry the old fashioned way and giving my dryer a rest.

I'm a big advocate (in my small, little world) of being eco-friendly and energy efficient. So a couple of years back, I purchased a retractable clothes line:


and a folding dry rack to use indoors for my delicates:

While I love the nostalgia of using my clothesline, knowing that I'm saving on electricity, and also slowing the wear of the fibers in my clothes; I still have not figured out how to prevent the "stiffness" that happens to the clothes, other than to not leave them hanging outdoors too long.

Oh, and my detergent of choice? Natural Powdered Laundry by Seventh Generation.
